Description:
The Seattle School District No.1 (District) is requesting proposals from firms interested in providing building ADA assessment consulting services for Capital Levy Planning. Services will include a review of 46 existing school sites. This assessment will identify barriers to access, provide proposed solutions to those barriers, estimate costs to implement those solutions and estimate project durations.

Areas assessed would include: 1. Parking lot to sidewalk. 2. Sidewalk to reception. 3. Reception to interior spaces. 4. Interior spaces to play areas/fields. The intent of the assessment is to evaluate whether facilities contain basic features of accessibility for circulation pathways. The District will utilize the reports to develop projects that may be included in the next Building, Technology and Academics (BTA) VI Capital Levy or in future levies. The District is seeking assistance from an experienced and knowledgeable consulting firm with accessibility expertise to render these services.
