Description:
The Seattle School District No.1 (District) is requesting proposals to contract with qualified masonry service providers to perform urgent repairs and ongoing maintenance across approximately 105 sites, as described in Section 5.0 Project Information. These Services are critical to ensuring safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments for staff, students, and the residents of Seattle. Due to the immediate need for service, selected contractors must be prepared to mobilize quickly and demonstrate the capacity to manage multiple sites concurrently.
The awarded contracts will establish a suite of on-call public works contracts to support small-scale construction and maintenance needs across the District These contracts are designed to provide a pre-qualified pool of contractors who can respond quickly and efficiently to work orders that fall below formal bidding thresholds.
The on-call program is structured to ensure that individual work orders remain under applicable bid limits. Work issued under this contract will be limited to individual projects under $75,000. Projects between $75,000–$100,000 will require informal quotes and any work exceeding $100,000 requiring formal bidding. These two processes will be performed in addition to these awarded contracts. However, awarded Contractors will still be eligible to bid on the larger projects formally solicited.
This on-call structure supports the District’s need for rapid, flexible response to small public works projects while maintaining compliance with WA State and District procurement rules, bonding requirements, and cost-control expectations.
It is the intent of the District to award to three vendors.
