Description:
Redmond Middle School Addition:
The project includes construction of a new two story addition to the existing Redmond Middle School. The existing Middle School will be retained and will remain operational throughout the construction phase. New addition structural system is steel columns and beams; metal stud wall framing; concrete slab on grade at first floor and concrete slab on metal deck at second floor. Exterior materials are brick veneer, metal wall panel, vinyl windows and curtainwall glazing. The project includes site improvements including provisions for on-site rainwater detention.
Finn Hill Middle School Addition:
Project is a two-story middle school of 14,000 square feet to the existing Finn Hill Middle School. The project will add capacity for an additional 200 students. It will be built of structural steel type 5-B, primarily a wood framed building with some structural steel. The existing Finn Hill Middle School is currently 86,400 SF on a 28.5 acre site. The 8 clasroom addition will be constructed at the north end of the existing school and connect to the existing building via a ramp and corridor conected to the existing Commons.
Kirkland Middle School Addition:
Project is a 13,500 square foot, one story middle school addition to the existing Kirland Middle School. The project will add capacity for an additional 200 students. The classroom addition will be modular construction of Type 5-B. The existing Kirland Middle School is currently 107,875 SF on a 15.2 acre site. The 8 classroom addition will be contructed on an existing ball field at the east side of the property adjacent to an existing plaza. Two covered walkways will be constructed to provide covered access to the classroom addition.
