Description:
The SAMMAMISH RIVER & WAYNITA CREEK RESTORATION proposes to create a new stream channel and floodplain as well as create wetland areas on the former Wayne Golf Course, along with improvements to the local Parks trail system. Funding has been provided by Washington Department of Ecology and the Bonneville Environmental Foundation. The general aspects of this work will involve stream bypass, in-water work, earthwork, installation of a 100 ft pedestrian bridge, site stabilization and landscaping.
